softly wispered his name

I called himsoftly whispered his name.
As he lurked beside me,
like a shadow,
he promised me
to protect me.
"From darkness",he said
"From danger" he said
"and from hell" he said.
As he told me 
I didn't fear for my life.
Not anymore.
I would calm down
as I felt the dark hand
slowly closing around me
"You won't betray me"I said
"Never lie" I said
"And never leave me behind" I said.
I felt the shadow become part of me.
"Only if you promise yourself to me" he said
My vision blurred.
I felt like falling 
down a dark hole.
"Yes" I heard myself echoing through the dark.
